As a school we have a great record of fundraising. One of the most effective is our non-uniform days when we ask students to donate £1 to be able to wear their own clothes for the day. These days always raise lots of money for fantastic causes around the world, but this time we going to raise money for something in school, our Library.

World Book Day is coming up next week. To celebrate the event we are going to have a World Book Day event on Friday 4th March. We ask that students dress as their favourite character from a book and donate £1 to the Library Fund. Students may also come into school in non-uniform if they prefer. The Library is very important resource, not only as a quiet study area, but also enabling students to have access to a wide variety of literature for the enjoyment of reading and for research. Throughout the day there will be variety of events taking place around the school, including a book quiz, poetry reading and staff will be revealing their favourite books.

We look forward to seeing some great costumes, for which there will be prizes, for all year groups.
