Dear Parents and Carers,
We will be running a bus from London Road, Central Macclesfield and Hurdsfield to Tytherington School for all Tytherington School students on a trial basis free of charge for the first half term (Wednesday 7th September 2016 until Thursday 20th October 2016) so students can assess if they would use the service. The route is attached.
If there is a good demand we will continue this service at a rate of about £3.50 per day on a “pay as you go” basis with discounts for students paying for a whole term in advance. If the demand is very low we may have to cancel to service, but we hope it will be popular.
Families living in Rainow who are more than 3 miles from the school can obtain free transport from Cheshire East Council. For families living nearer Macclesfield and in Higher Hurdsfield who are not served by the free Council bus, we have included a bus stop at the junction of Hulley Road and Hurdsfield Road.
We will keep routes under review and we are open to suggestions for other routes in future.
If you would like your child to use this bus please let us know by email on info@tytheringtonschool.co.uk so we can manage the demand and make sure we have a big enough bus!

This is a new route so timings are estimates and are dependent on traffic flow. Therefore please make sure you are at your bus stop in plenty of time to avoid missing the bus!
Coming home the bus will leave Tytherington School at 3:30pm (3:00pm on a Thursday) and follow the above route in reverse.
