Tytherington School have been successful in securing nearly £1 million from the government’s Condition Improvement Fund (CIF). The CIF provides access to capital funding for academies through an annual bidding process. There are two priority areas: building condition and expansion. The money will be used to improve the conditions of roofing at the school.

Headteacher, Manny Botwe, said: “We are delighted to be one of the few schools selected to receive such a huge capital investment. The roofing work will improve the learning environment for our students and significantly change the look of the school.”

Local MP David Rutley said: “It is great that Tytherington School has received this significant capital investment from the Department for Education, which will help to improve facilities and create an even better learning environment for the pupils. I congratulate all at Tytherington School on this achievement, and I look forward to visiting in the future, to see the completed works.”
