Dropping Off & Picking Up at Tytherington School
16th April 2018

It is never easy at dropping-off and picking-up times around schools and you will be aware of our past messages and concerns about student and public safety on the roads around Tytherington School:

Following further concerns being raised, when dropping off at the start of the day:

Please Do Please Do Not
  • Use our turning circle at the front of school to pull in off the road and safely drop off students.
  • Drop students off by stopping on Manchester Road – as this causes many safety issues for other road users (both cyclists and motorists) and those students being dropped off.

When picking up at the end of the day:

Please Do Please Do Not
  • Feel free to wait until our buses have left the site, 15-minutes after the end of the school day, and then use our turning circle at the front of school to pull in off the road and safely pick up students – any students can wait in the warmth of the Refectory area until the turning circle is fully open and clear of the buses.
  • Park in double yellow line areas in Beech Farm Drive or Badger Road – causing obstructions and danger to other users of that area.
  • Obstruct the entrances to local residents’ homes (including the lanes that lead down to homes off Beech Farm Drive.

Thank you for making the time to take these precautions and giving consideration to others.
