Students at Tytherington School have been supporting charities which help young children in impoverished parts of the world.

Mrs Sandbach’s year 9 textiles class have been involved in a project called Dress a Girl Around the World. The aim of the charity is to provide every girl in the most impoverished communities in the world with at least one new dress. The class have been making dresses which will be sent to different schools in Uganda. The dresses must be of a high standard as they will be worn regularly.

Mrs Sandbach said: “The youngsters have worked so hard and taken the project really seriously as they know that the dresses they make will make a difference to someone in the world.”
