Sad News Regarding a Former Member of Staff

Dear Families,

It is with great sadness that I inform you that a former member of staff, Cath Gibson, sadly passed away on Monday. Cath Gibson worked at Tytherington School between January 2008 and November 2016 as our Safeguarding Lead. Cath Gibson dedicated her life to supporting the most vulnerable students in our community. We will miss her.

We extend our deepest sympathy to her family. We are in touch with Cath Gibson’s family and we will keep you posted on details of the funeral.

    Hi, I’m a former pupil of Tytherington High School 2006-2011. Mrs Gibson worked very hard along side of me, supporting me throughout high school and even after I left.

    I am deeply sorry to hear about Mrs Gibson. She was kind, respectful, helpful and just amazing to me during the years I was a pupil at Tytherington. Thoughts are with the family.
