Dear Families,

Re: Coronavirus update – provision for vulnerable students and key worker families

Following on from my last update, I am writing to let you know that we now have information about which categories of students we will remain open for. As advised by the government, we will do all we can to stay open for the children of key workers (e.g. NHS staff, police, others in frontline services) and vulnerable children. Please see the link below which states the list of keyworkers:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision

If you fall into any of the categories identified above AND it is necessary to send your child to school, please get in contact via email on info@tytheringtonschool.co.uk by 5pm on Friday 20th March. Normal school times will apply. If your child would normally receive free transport, then these buses are scheduled to run as normal for next week, in the first instance. If your child is in school and would normally receive free school meals, this will continue.

All other children will need to stay at home, so we ask that you do not send your child into school from the end of the school day on Friday 20th March onwards.

I am aware that some students are collecting books from the Hall on Monday. If this is the case, students should come to reception, collect books and then leave immediately.

Should you have any further concerns on this issue please do email me at ebotwe@tytheringtonschool.co.uk

Many thanks for your help and understanding during these exceptional circumstances. Stay safe and I will see you all soon.

Kind regards,
Mr Botwe
