Dear Families,

I hope you are well. Many thanks for your ongoing support and patience during this challenging time. You will be aware that over the last few weeks, there has been a significant spike in the number of reported cases of covid-19 amongst young people in the local area. This has led to many students being asked to self-isolate.

This morning I met with representatives from the local public health team to review the mitigations in school for the final week of term. On the advice of the Director of Public Health, all students and staff will continue to be required to wear masks in all indoor school venues (apart from PE) until the end of this term. This includes classrooms. We have a list of students who were exempt from mask wearing and they will not be required to wear a mask. Masks should also continue to be worn on school buses. We will also continue to operate a year group bubble system at break and lunch time. These measures will come to an end after the final day of term which is on Friday 23rd July.

Many thanks for your continued help and support.

Yours sincerely

Mr Emmanuel Botwe
