Dear Families,

Re: Updated guidance regarding Household Covid-19 Contacts

I hope you are well. The Local Authority (LA) have updated its guidance with regards to household contacts of positive cases. The LA no longer recommends that household contacts stay away from school for 5 days. In line with the LA, we will no longer recommend that this happens. If a member of the household tests positive, other members of the household may come into school provided they have taken a Lateral Flow Test which has recorded a negative test result. Daily tests should be taken for the next 7 days and household contacts should not come to school if they are showing any symptoms.

I have included a link to the government’s current rules with regards to the period of isolation for positive cases:

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Best wishes

Mr Botwe
