I am writing to inform you of the upcoming non-uniform day on Thursday 14th February. The funds raised will help support the ongoing work of the Tythy Goes Green Project. The Elective Group was started in September 2017 and was established to raise awareness of green issues around the school and to help improve the school environment.

Since its launch the students and staff involved have delivered assemblies, raised money at the Summer and Christmas Fairs, delivered a presentation at last year’s Barnaby Festival, introduced a community pen recycling scheme and helped improve the canteen waste footprint.

We are asking for a suggested donation of £1 which we will put towards installing more indoor water fountains, improving the school grounds and adding further recycling points throughout school. We hope you will join us in supporting the Tythy Goes Green Project.

Please show your support by wearing an environmentally friendly piece of clothing with your non -uniform outfit. For example, something recycled, something coloured green, or a suitable message on a badge or t shirt.
