Dear Families,

I hope you are well. As you will be aware, the situation with regards to coronavirus is rapidly changing and I will do my best to keep you updated. With this in mind, we have taken the decision to postpone Year 8 parents evening which was due to take place on Thursday 19th March. Our intention is to re-arrange it for some time in the summer term. In the meantime, if you would have queries with regards to your child’s progress, please make contact with the school via info@tytheringtonschool.co.uk.

It will be a normal school day, although there will not be electives for years 7 & 8 so they will finish at 2.30pm along with the rest of the school.

Apologies for the late notice, but I trust you will understand that the situation is very fluid at the moment. Our position remains that we will only take actions in response to official advice from the experts.

Please be aware that we are not party to any information that is not already publicly available and, therefore, our guess as to what will happen over the next few days is as good as anyone else’s. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and, as you’d expect, have contingency plans for all potential scenarios. We will, of course, be in touch if anything changes.
