Update regarding face coverings in school
20th January 2022
0

Dear Families,

I hope you are well. As you will be aware, the Prime Minister has announced that the government will no longer be recommending the use of face coverings in school classroom settings. In line with the updated guidance, we will no longer be requiring students and staff to wear face coverings in lessons from tomorrow (Friday). We understand that some students and staff will want to continue to wear face coverings and I am fine for this to continue.

The guidance still requires students to wear face coverings in a few instances indoors until next Thursday 27th January. For Tytherington School, the settings will be limited to the  following:

  • When queuing indoors e.g. refectory, toilets, etc.
  • Lesson changeover when indoors.

We will speak to students tomorrow morning about the updated guidance. Students should still wear face coverings on public transport.

We will continue to review these policies on a weekly basis so please be on the lookout for updates.

If you have any queries, please feel free to e-mail me directly.

Thank you for your continued help and support on the matter.

Best regards

Mr Botwe
