ICT Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable ICT Manager to lead the ICT Team in the management, implementation, support and administration of the school ICT provision, to maximise efficiency and effectiveness; with emphasis on customer service and developing future plans to meet the school’s educational objectives.
Reporting to the Business Director, you will have demonstrable experience of managing ICT services and staff, have good communication and inter-personal skills, and be solution-focussed. You will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the ICT support service across the school. You will be accountable for the delivery of the school’s IT strategy, working collaboratively with all key stakeholders to understand and support their technological requirements.

The Package:

  • Support Staff Scale – Grade 10/11: £34,728 – £43,159 per annum
  • 37 hours per week, full year

ICT Manager – Information for Applicants


Casual ICT Technician

We are looking for an enthusiastic and eager Casual ICT Technician to provide support and cover for the school’s IT Team on an adhoc basis.

The purpose of the role is to provide hardware and software classroom support for teachers using the computer facilities as and when required by the School. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain computer networks, printers and other peripherals (including installing new software), thereby minimising system ‘downtime’.

Hours of Work: Casual basis
Any hours worked will be between the hours of 8.30 – 16.30 Monday – Thursday, 8.30 – 16.00 Friday.

Weeks per Year: The role is full year

Salary: Grade 4/5 – £9.42 – £11.27 dependent upon experience

Pension: Local Government Contributory Scheme

Casual ICT Technician – Information for Applicants


Design and Technology Technician

Tytherington School are looking for a Design and Technology Technician to join the School’s Design and Technology department.
The key aspect of the technician role will involve co-ordinating the use of the practical resources and facilities within the Design Technology department in support of the curriculum, as well as working with the Head of Department. Working closely with teaching staff and students during lesson time, the technician will assist in the maintenance and preparation of materials and equipment and setting up equipment for demonstrations for practical work. The post holder will be required to operate and maintain workshop tools and will be responsible for testing new equipment. The role will also involve assisting in the general maintenance of the workshop, keeping up to date with health and safety requirements and with developments in Design and Technology.

Hours of Work: 37 per week, 08:00 – 16:00 Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 15:30 Friday.

Weeks per Year: 39 weeks per year (term time; plus 5 inset days).

Salary: Grade 5: £16,597 – £18,682 per annum (£19,321-£21,748 FTE)

Pension: Local Government contributory scheme
